Dance Program

Monday and Wednesday @ 12:30

Our dance program is co-ed so everyone is welcome to join! We will be dancing together as a group, to share with one another and perform at our summer ending show!

Studio Seventeen will be offering two different dance classes to ensure we cater to all dance levels.

Wiggle Class

1:00 – 2:20 PM

This class is a great place to start out, as we will be exploring our body movement and learning new ways to move! It’s  perfect for those who are just starting out, and it can also be very beneficial for those who already have dance experience. In this class we will be focusing on foundation moves and grooving in order to build and expand each student’s dance vocabulary.

Crunch Class

2:30 – 4:00 PM

This class will be beneficial to those wanting to learn a set piece in order to apply the way they move as well as to experiment with different ways to execute each movement. We encourage all to take this class, including beginners as it will help them gain dance experience. It will be a combo style class, so we will be focusing more on choreography.

Guest Choreographers

Our very own staff will be teaching on a regular basis, however we will also be bringing other choreographers in Calgary to come and teach different styles to the youth.


Basketball Drop Ins

6:00 – 8:00 PM

Basketball drop in is co-ed, so everyone is welcome to join, we will be playing games in teams to ensure everyone gets a chance to play the sport. There will also be a referee present  to keep a fair organised game going, and to avoid any conflicts.

Basketball Drills

We will also be including drills for student to do in order to build basic skills needed to play the sport. Including passing, shooting and dribbling.

Warm up

Before anything we will be warming up to make sure our students bodies are ready to play the sport for the long period of time. This will decrease the risk of any pulled muscles and other injuries.
