Bio:

Daniel Massé began his studies in Montreal, Quebec in Industrial Chemistry program and the Art and Design program at Ahuntsic College and the CEGEP du Vieux Montreal respectively.

Moving to Vancouver, British Columbia in 1972, he brought with him knowledge & experience in art, science, architectural design, and began working as a designer for residential, commercial and trade show projects.

Always challenging the conventional ways of operating, Daniel developed new processes in casting techniques that led to visually stunning projects like the design of one of Vancouver’s coffee hot spot, Platform7.

His curiosity in glass transformation led him to the studios of Joel Berman Glass where he was instrumental in developing both new mold-making techniques in addition to novel materials suitable to casting.

These two advancements led Daniel to further advancements in techniques of kiln casting, and corrugated and corduroy glass textures, and duplicating antique heritage glass. His award winning techniques contributed to his success on the restoration work performed on the iconic Chrysler Building in New York City, as well as numerous awards he and his team from Joel Berman Glass garnered over the years at the NeoCon awards, which celebrate innovation in the industry.

Today, with over three decades of experience as an artist, craftsman and innovator, Daniel’s mission is to create a flourishing environment for designers to keep pushing the boundaries.

His new business, Daniel Masse Art and Design, provides a creative space to innovate and conceive architectural art projects.
